Let’s get better
with money,
together
with the Mind Money Balance Method™
A community-supported financial wellness program created by a financial therapist.
Most financial wellness programs use robots to teach people about budgeting, credit scores, and retirement accounts.
Information matters. But if information alone changed behavior, most of us would be doing what we "should" do.
More than knowledge shapes money decisions. Emotions, family stories, relationships, and the systems around us shape them.
And those factors can make money feel really stressful.
In our pilot survey, 75% of participants felt overwhelmed by financial decisions and 67% experienced financial anxiety.
The MMB Method™ is a digital program that pairs micro-lessons from a financial therapist with a private community.
What you get
4 weeks of micro-lessons on the emotional side of money
Guided reflections that help you uncover the stories and patterns running your financial decisions
Simple behavior prompts: Small tips to try in real life, so you can build your self-confidence
A private, virtual (and anonymous optional) community
By the end, you’ll feel calmer and more confident making money decisions.

The MMB Method™ makes it easier to put what you know into practice, alongside a community working toward a shared goal:
getting better with money, together.
FAQs
Got questions about the MMB Method? I’ve got your answers.
-
Plan on 30–60 minutes a week.
The Monday micro-lessons themselves are two minutes or less. Use the rest of that time to reflect, try out what you’re learning, and connect with the community.
-
Nope! Everything happens asynchronously inside a private Slack community. A new lesson drops Monday morning, and you check in when it works for you.
-
As a Person With A Life™, it’s perfectly okay to fall behind. That’s why four weeks of lessons come with six weeks of access.
-
Absolutely not. There’s no financial knowledge prerequisite because we aren’t focusing on tactical financial how-tos; we’re focusing on the emotions and feelings that get in the way of taking action.
-
This is where I’ll tell you this might not be for you.
Slack is free and easy to use from your phone or computer, but if Slack is completely foreign to you, I don’t want you spending time figuring it out instead of getting value from the microlessons and the community.
-
No. While I’m a financial therapist and the MMB Method ™ is informed by my expertise, participating does not create a therapist-client relationship.
It’s also not individualized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. It’s a community-supported financial wellness experience designed to help you better understand the emotional side of your money.
What people say
Built on real clinical practice
After reading her sixth personal finance book, Lindsay realized something: she knew more about money than ever, and she was still anxious about it.
As a social worker, she saw the same disconnect with her clients. Money wasn’t just about knowing the “right” things to do. It was emotional.
That realization led Lindsay to become one of Michigan’s first financial therapists. And when her private practice waitlist neared 300 people, she knew she needed a way to help more people beyond one-on-one therapy.
That idea became the Mind Money Balance Method™, built around what Lindsay has seen work with real people, including over 650 participants in the program's in-person pilot.
